Measures to enhance the quality of the spring steel wire
By trying to improve the quality of the spring steel wire, below are some measures:
(1) thermomechanical treatment - combine the spring steel wire's strengthen of deformation and warmth treatment can enhance the strength and toughness of spring steel wire. Thermomechanical treatment has three varieties of high, medium and low temperature.
(2) Austempering of spring - towards spring which diameter is small we are able to choose austempering for it can not only slow up the deformation, but also improve the strength and toughness.
(3) Relaxation treating spring - the springs produced by general spring steel wire be employed by a long time in the external force, can have permanent (plastic) deformation as the result of stress relaxation, specially in the high temperature environment. Such a spring steel wire should has relaxation treatment as soon as the quenching and tempering, so that the work of deformation which may arise over the spring deformation.
(4) Low-temperature carbonitriding - the spring steel guitar wire??£¤s fatigue life and corrosion resistance can improved significantly, using technology combines low-temperature tempering and carbonitriding. This method is used for spring rolls.
(5) Shot peening - the counter quality of spring steel wire and surface strength can improve, using shot peening treatment. What's more, using this method can keep the surface at a state of pressure stress and thus improve the fatigue strength and service life.
The spring steel wire's quality can improve based on these measures and we may use different treatment with the meet of several springs.
