Four Points for Swivel Caster Installation

Swivel caster can be classified into polyurethane swivel caster, rubber caster, nylon caster and metal caster according to the materials. Swivel casters are usually applied in chairs, equipments, furniture, handy carts, and some medical devices. The swivel casters are flexible in moving. They have some advantages such as high abrasion resistance, good performance of resisting collision, and causing no pressure marks in road when driving. With swivel casters, the devices and equipment can move up to 360 degrees. It’s named as the opposite-fixed caster.

Some tips need to be considered when you want to make full use of the swivel casters.

1. The swivel caster should be installed in the right place as the manufacture’s required. Before installing the swivel caster, you need read and do by the factory instruction.
2. There should be sufficient strength for the caster of the swivel caster installing, providing suitable bearing weight.
3. The swivel caster’s function is not possible to be changed and it’s not susceptible by the equipment.
4. Movement axis of the swivel casters must be perpendicular and be in line with the fixed caster.
